Yoshinoya serves Japanese-derived dishes in an American fast-food environment. There are at least three Yoshinoya locations in the general Koreatown area… Wilshire by Wilton, Olympic & Fedora, and Beverly Boulevard in North Koreatown.

In 2023, Yoshinoya Japanese Kitchen celebrated 50 Years in the United States. It reportedly has been operating in Tokyo, Japan, since 1899.
