Not a Western bakery — that would be Bosco next door — this shop is a seller of DDEOK (tteok, dduk), which are traditional Korean rice “cakes” that can be sweetened up, used in soups, or served with spicy red sauce. Also sells Kimbap (rice rolls) ready to go, as well as Kimchi Mandu (dumplings) ready to cook. Opens as early as 9:00 am on most days. Enter on James Wood Blvd before 10:00 am. Usually closes by 7:30 pm.

Fancy House is a Korean-run gift store inside Koreatown Plaza carrying stationery and knickknacks such as Hello Kitty chopsticks (for babies), Kpop keychains, stickers, and origami paper. It’s the shop by the food court. Has no EXO calendars but does have many other EXO items such as posters, socks, post-it pads, pens, file folders… Also has modern greeting cards with traditional Korean motifs.

Simply called “Music Plaza” — a destination for fans of Korean pop music. Aside from recently released CDs and DVDs, there are also posters of South Korean idols papering the walls. They also carry a few CDs of traditional Korean music, as well as Japanese, American and European.
