El Cholo “Cafe”
Part of a small, local chain of six family-owned Mexican restaurants throughout Los Angeles and Orange County.
This original restaurant on Western Avenue has been open since the 1920’s.
“El Cholo” refers to a “worker in the field” in the Spanish lingo of those times.
On the menu: blue-corn tamales, chimichangas, fajitas, tacos, enchiladas, margaritas…
Located just south of Koreatown’s formal borders — in the Harvard Heights district.
