Choon Chun [pronounced “choon-chon”] is the name of the capital city of Gangwon Province in South Korea.

Chuncheon is famous for its dak galbi (chicken “ribs”). Despite the name, the dish is often made from an entire chicken, not just the ribs. Ingredients include Chinese cabbage, sweet potatoes, tteok (rice cakes), and scallions, mixed with a spicy sauce.
