The corner of Third Street & New Hampshire is the site where LAPD murdered an unarmed Dontaze Storey Jr. in November 2008.
He was merely on his way home and not engaged in any crime when an airship identified him as a man with a gun. He was shot dead without reason by LAPD’s Daniel Bunch and Oliver Malabuyo.
Dontaze Storey Jr. was 29 years old and had just learned the day before his death that he was going to be a father. He was returning from the Rite Aid on 3rd and Vermont to help his fiancee with a pre-natal prescription when he was gunned down.
