The 800 block of South Vermont Avenue is the site where LAPD murdered an unarmed 27-year-old black man named Steven Eugene Washington in March 2010. He wasn’t doing anything; he was just walking, minding his own business, when he was killed in a drive-by shooting by LAPD’s Allan Corrales and George Diego.
