Korean-owned hair salon
MyStylist is Korean-run hair salon near the southwest corner of Western Avenue and of 3rd Street.
Kim Sun Young has been in business since 1956 with branches in New York and Chicago. This Koreatown location is on the northeast corner of Beverly Boulevard and Western Avenue. Shampoo, trim and blow dry is around 30 dollars. More complex services like dye coloring and hair strengthening (Magic Straight) are expensive and can set you back $200-300, which is still cheaper than at Japanese hair salons. Do call for an appointment, although it’s not uncommon that they can see you when you call in the morning. Open Monday to Saturday, 9:00 am – 8:00 pm. Closed on Sunday.
