Calic Bagel
Slow-Rise, Hand-Rolled Specialty LA-Style Bagels
Bagels in Koreatown Los Angeles? Not the best place to go looking for them, although Wiches across from the Wiltern Theater does make decent bagel sandwiches.
For a real bagel shop, try Sam’s Bagels and Noah’s Bagels in nearby Larchmont Village.
As for gluten-free, vegan, organic bagels, Erin McKenna’s Bakery does make them.
Just opened in 2023 on the eastern outskirts of Koreatown: Calic Bagel
Slow-Rise, Hand-Rolled Specialty LA-Style Bagels
By the Wiltern Theater on Western Avenue, south of Wilshire Boulevard. You can enter via Western or Oxford Avenue.
Sandwiches for pickup… All-Day Breakfast
Dessert cakes, macarons, croffles (croissant waffles)
Donut shop chain that’s open 24 hours everyday.
This tiny place provided simple food for busy people — for example, bagels for breakfast and teriyaki for lunch.
UPDATE: Closed and replaced by Wiches on Wilshire in 2013.
