Download the new Go Metro app for iPhone, iPad, and Android devices. When you allow it to detect your GPS coordinates, the nearest bus stops will appear together with estimated times of arrival.
The Orange #28 is the main bus traveling west and east on the Koreatown stretch of Olympic Boulevard. You can take it to and from downtown LA, Miracle Mile, and Beverly Hills.
The Red #728 is a Metro Rapid Bus that travels west and east on Olympic Boulevard, stopping only on Western, Normandie, and Vermont.
The cost of riding the orange or red bus is $1.75 one way. Buy a TAP card for $1 and load it with a $7 day pass. This day pass will allow you to ride the subways and most buses that can take you around Koreatown, Downtown, and Hollywood.
The limited local DASH bus costs just 50 cents per ride (it does NOT take the Metro day pass) — it partly services residential areas and the route does not encompass all the main arteries of Koreatown.
