JOSEPH VILLARROEL is a dancing sensation in Koreatown. This 23-year-old local won the $5000 Evolution of Dance Off contest online and has even appeared on the television show Lopez Tonight and danced on stage with the Wonder Girls at the Wiltern Theater.  As winner of the 2009 Seoul Infinite Dream contest, he met Korean pop celebrities Super Junior and SNSD.

During Koreatown’s holiday charity festival in December 2010, “Joe” danced to an American/Kpop mix the first day and a Spanish mix the following day.

Having lived most of his early life in an apartment building dominated by Korean residents,  he understands the Korean language and has developed an affinity for Korean pop music. He can dance to almost any music genre, even to Korean pop classics by Deux, HOT, Clon and SES. He studies political science at Santa Monica College and is hoping to one day become a lawyer.
