Korean eatery franchise from South Korea, where the company’s name is transliterated into English as HalGaDduk.
Halgatteok is short for Halmoni Garae Tteok, which is Korean for Grandma’s Rice-Bar Cakes.
Garaetteok is a long, cylindrical “Rice Bar Cake” made with non-glutinous rice flour. It has a super chewy texture.

HalGaTteok can be found on the ground floor of the large strip mall on 8th Street known as Oxford Center, where a branch of “I Love Boba” and “TwoZone Chicken” are also located. HGT is between Thank U Pho and Honey Night.
