Dong Fang – Closed
Note that the photo above was stolen by Eater L.A. for one of their January 2014 pages.
UPDATE: Dong Fang has closed, with the space being taken over by Mirak 2.
Dong Fang is “the lamb kebab restaurant that’s not owned by the Feng Mao group.”
Serves more of the traditionally expected Chinese dishes like Gong Bao Ji Ding rather than just focusing on Chinese lamb kebab.
Like Feng Mao, has bull penis.
Also has an all-you-can-eat $16.98 Korean BBQ menu that includes…
Black Pork Belly, Marinated La Beef Rib, Beef Bulgogi, Pork Bulgogi, Pork Rib, Grilled Shrimp, Brisket, Cow’s Small Intestines (Gopchang), Large Intestines, Beef Tendon, Chicken’s Large Intestines, Chicken Heart, Baby Octopus, Squid, Pork Neck, Seasoned Sirloin, Beef Intestines (Makchang)…
… with Steamed Egg Souffle (Gyeran-jjim), Kimchi Stew, Soybean-Paste Stew (Dwenjang-jjigae), Knife Noodles (Kalguksu), and Scorched Rice Soup (Nurungji).
