Hongdae Jopok Ddeokbokki (홍대 조폭 떡볶이) is a Korean restaurant on the northwest corner of 6th & Catalina whose specialty is “ddeokbokki” — rice cakes in spicy sauce. Menu also includes kimbap, soondae and tempura. *Does temporary tattoos while customers wait for orders. The theme of the place is Jopok, which means organized crime, aka gangsters. Open seven days a week, 11:00 am – 9:00 pm. Grand opening was on January 5, 2015.

Sopita Ramen (original location) is just south of Koreatown proper, in the area many refer to as Harvard Heights. 3087 W Pico Blvd, Suite 9 Los Angeles, CA 90006 Open seven days a week, from 11:00 am to 9:00 pm. As of January 2018, Sopita has three locations — the other two are by Hoover and by Third Street.
