Hongdae Jopok Ddeokbokki (홍대 조폭 떡볶이) is a Korean restaurant on the northwest corner of 6th & Catalina whose specialty is “ddeokbokki” — rice cakes in spicy sauce. Menu also includes kimbap, soondae and tempura. *Does temporary tattoos while customers wait for orders. The theme of the place is Jopok, which means organized crime, aka gangsters. Open seven days a week, 11:00 am – 9:00 pm. Grand opening was on January 5, 2015.
Located on the third floor of the Koreatown Galleria mall on Western & Olympic. Has televisions and an outdoor patio. Among the stalls are Jin Heung Gak, Cham Cham Cham, and Picnic Day.

In 2010, the Los Angeles City Council formally declared Koreatown's borders as Western Avenue, Olympic Boulevard, Vermont Avenue, and 3rd Street, with a business corridor on Western from 3rd to Rosewood Avenue.
