After four decades of business in Koreatown, Manna Jegwa finally closed its doors in early 2015 due to an intolerable rent increase caused by the influx of hipsters into the area.

Manna opened in 1976 on 8th Street and Western Avenue. At the height of its popularity, it employed half a dozen bakers and produced 200 different types of Western-style pastries.
