The Wiltern Theatre and Pellissier Building is a distinctive Art Deco building decorated with blue-green terra cotta tile located at the intersection of Wilshire and Western. It was originally built in 1931, called the Warner Brothers Western Theater, and was designed as a vaudeville theater.
Today it serves as a live performing venue, hosting concerts and comedy shows.
The Wiltern is surrounded by a number of privately owned parking lots. Cost ranges from $8 to $20 per event.
As an alternative to driving, the Metro Purple Line subway is located directly across the street from the Wilshire/Western station and shares six stations with the Red Line downtown.
