Pio Pico Koreatown Library
Named after Pío de Jesús Pico, the last Mexican governor of Alta California, who died in 1894.
This library branch has the largest Korean-language collection in LAPL system.
Library in Koreatown Los Angeles?
There are two libraries serving the Koreatown area of Los Angeles.
The main one is the Pio Pico Branch Library on Oxford Avenue, a block east of Western Avenue, just south of Wilshire Boulevard.
Serving North Koreatown is the Wilshire Branch Library, which is actually about six blocks north of Wilshire Boulevard.
Face masks are required in all City of Los Angeles facilities, including libraries.

In addition to the Pio Pico Library, another LAPL branch that serves what is still considered the Koreatown area of Los Angeles is the Wilshire Library. It doesn’t have as extensive a collection of Korean books or resources, but it’s the next best branch.
(The Central Library in downtown LA also has a substantial amount of Korean-language materials.)
